On Friday 15 March we all saw images we were never designed to see. A tragedy hit our city that we never thought would happen.

As a church, we want to play our part in helping those affected and also to promote a message of love.

On this page, you will find some information that will help you as you respond to what has happened.

On Sunday, we took up an offering that will go towards a combined churches contribution to the victims of this tragedy and to other projects that will help those affected. If you missed that opportunity, you can still give via internet transfer. The account number is 06-0821-0579769-00 with the reference 'Response'. Thank you for your continued kindness and generosity.

We have seen images we were never designed to see. It can be hard to process. If you just need to get out of the house, be around some others, want a coffee or chat, want a listening ear or some prayer...come and drop into the following spaces.

There are many events that are beginning to be organised in Christchurch to take a stand and support our Muslim friends. We are encouraging folks to join with our city this week and demonstrate love and solidarity. Event locations and times may change therefore keep an eye on social media.

Here are some options:

Thursday: Crisis Response Briefing with Billy Graham Rapid Response Team. The team are hosting a crisis response briefing for church leaders, teachers, support workers or anyone wanting to be equipped to both process trauma and to support others at this time and the weeks to follow. For more details click here. 2pm - 3.30pm, City Campus

Friday: Colour Your Day run by 24-7 Youthwork in collaboration with Christchurch City Council. Wear something colourful in your school, business and community. Observe 1 minute silence at 1.40pm. OR another event is joining others outside the two mosques at 1.30pm, bring a candle or flowers.

Saturday: Christchurch March for Love, North Hagley Park, 10am.

Sunday: 5pm7pmRemembering those who lost their lives, North Hagley Park. We would love for you to join us at this vigil so that we as a church can be a loving and supportive presence. Meet us by the purple Grace flag from 4pm.
