Grace Day Out!
Waitangi Day, THIS Monday 6th February 2012 from 11am.
• Join us for an old fashioned carnival at Macleans Island, opposite Orana Park - look for our purple Grace banners!
• This will be an amazing Grace Day Out, with prizes for tug of wars, egg and spoon, three legged and wheel barrow races.
• We will have ponies and horses to ride, a bouncy castle and free food.
• Bring your bikes for the 5, 10 and 15 kilometre tracks suitable for all ages.
• Bike decorating competitions for kids under 10 years old - there will be prizes!
• BYO picnic rug and a kite to fly.
• Wet weather plan: Check our website from 8am Monday if you are unsure on the weather. We will have an update available.
• This is a combined campus event.
• Come join us for an amazing, fun day out with family and friends!


"Laying the Foundation" - A Week of Prayer for 2012
We are beginning the year with a week of prayer, desiring to seek God's face and gather together in unity. Throughout the 13th to the 19th of February, we will be joining to pray and lay a strong foundation for the year ahead. We would love you to come, gather and pray.

NZ and Beyond Conference 2012
March 19th - 21st
For the first time, Tak Bhana's Church Unlimited is bringing the conference "NZ and Beyond" to Christchurch. "Our desire is to see the church of New Zealand ignited with a passion to reach our nation and the nations of the world with the gospel of Jesus Christ." Joel Holm, David MacGregor, Rick Shelton, Tak Bhana and David Peters will be speaking at this inspiring, 3 day conference in mid March. Missions at Grace
• If you missed Faith Promise Sunday, it's not too late to join in!
• Have a read of this online brochure, which profiles our missionaries and explains how Faith Promise is used to support them.
• Commitment slips are still available from the information desk for those who missed out and would like to participate
• Please remember to action any regular giving to missions (A/P is the preferred method) using bank account 06-0821-0579769-00. Also include your giving number and 'Missions' in the reference field.
• For our missionaries' current news prayer needs, you may wish to sign up to our database.

Serve@Grace
Volunteers are the heartbeat of everything we do here at Grace Vineyard, we just couldn't manage without them. We believe that God has gifted every single person with talents to share with the body of Christ. We would love for you to be involved in the life of our church and help us 'Be Disciples and make Disciples'.

Volunteering for one of our teams is one of the best ways to get connected at Grace Vineyard and we are likely to have an area of service that is perfect for you.

City Campus
• Info Desk
Each Sunday we have a fantastic team on the Info Desk, providing a friendly smile and a place to find out what's on at Grace. We're keen for some more people to join the team! Please get in touch via office@grace.org.nz or call 379 8463 and ask for Natasha.
• Sunday Cafe
At the 3.30pm services, we are looking for volunteers who have a passion for working in a cafe environment and serving others. A great opportunity to work alongside Deb and her team. Barista training available. Email office@grace.org.nz or phone 379 8463 to speak with Natasha.
• Worship Teams
Are you interested in joining our worship team? If you are available to join either our morning or evening teams, please Chris on 379 8463 or worship@grace.org.nz.  All teams rehearse on Monday night and play for two consecutive Sundays - first at the Beach Campus and then at the City Campus.
Beach Campus
• If you're keen to help in any part of our Sunday services, such as the Welcome Team or Passion Kids, contact the office on 388 5459 or email serve@grace.org.nz  

Free Lattes & Filled Rolls!
• We have a Welcome Lounge which operates out of the Spreydon Cafe after the 1.30pm service
• If you meet someone new to Grace City, please bring them to the Welcome Lounge so we can shout you and them a free drink on us!
• The Welcome Lounge doesn't operate after the 3.30pm service, but we have free filled rolls instead and all are invited to join us in the café.


Menzone
• Weekly Group at Beach Campus - Every Thursday night at 7.30pm.
o Join the men of Grace for worship, teaching and discussion.
o We are experiencing wonderful answers to prayer and developing great friendships and seeing the power of God in our midst
o You are very welcome to join us!

Essence Women's Ministry
• Extend
o Extend is a place to help you find your fit, to help you into a Lifegroup, to serve, to be part of the Grace community, and to meet a wider group of women.
o Extend gathers in the Cobham Hall, Spreydon at 9.30am on Wednesdays. We begin back on the 8th Feburary.
• Inspire (formerly 'Gorgeous Girls at Grace')
o Meets on Thursday mornings 9.30am-11.15am during term time
o 87 Malcolm Ave, Beckenham.
• Gracious Mothers Group
o Group for mums with preschoolers 
• New Group Starting Up!
o New Wednesday morning mums' group... mums with preschoolers, new mums, expecting mums, all welcome!

• Beach Campus Women's Group
o All women are invited to come to along to the weekly Beach Campus women's group.
o Beginning again on Wednesday 15th February, 10am - 12pm.

Lifegroups
• Lifegroups are one way we make the big small here at Grace. They are an integral part of living out our faith with other believers, reaching our friends and the community, and simply doing life together.
• We have around 70 Lifegroups in different locations around the city.
• If you would like to join a group or have any general Lifegroup enquiries, please contact Caroline by email or on 379 8463.
• For Lifegroup resources, you can contact the office and speak with the receptionist. We are currently in the process of purchasing new material so if you have any suggestions, please let us know.

Youth & Young Adult Groups 
The Gathering: The gathering is a new, regular event for young adults from both campuses. It generally happens on the first or second Tuesday evening of each month at Addington Coffee Co-Op.  Our next meeting time is February 14th 2012 at 7pm.  Entry cost is a non-perishable food item, which will go towards local mission.  Baristas will be on for the evening and we'd love to see you there!

  • Invasion Youth: Invasion is starting back! On February the 16th we kick off our first Invasion service for year 9-13's. We meet on Thursday nights throughout the term. After a great summer break our Invasion crew are gearing up for an awesome start to 2012. See ya soon!!!
  • Unity East: Youth Group for Years 9-13 meets every Thursday 7-9pm during term time at Beach Campus. 
  • Young Adults at Grace: Young Adults at Grace is our community for 18-30 year olds. We'll be kicking off the new year at the Festival of Salt and Light, 10th - 12th February 2012, followed by the first Gathering on Tuesday 14th Feb. Can't wait to see you there!  

The Festival of Salt and Light: LAST CHANCE to register!!! A space to meet people, tell stories, deepen your faith, ponder the meaning of life, camp out, relax in the last throws of summer and consider where God wants to take you in 2012. A bunch of Grace Vineyard young adults (18+ years old) will be gathering with other young adults from Christchurch in Gore Bay from the 10 - 12 February 2012. Financial Information
• Annual Financial Statement: Financial Statements for the year ended 31 March 2011 and are available to collect from the Info Desk.
• A reminder that we have giving envelopes available at the information desk. Your tithe number can be written on the front, making it easier for us to record donations against your name.

Compassion Trust
• Alive and Well... Since the Compassion Trust has been in a state of flux with the lock up facility damaged in the February earthquake, it's time to refocus and make our presence known again.
• Until Christmas we are assessing the needs of our community and will roll out an exciting new plan in the new year.

Youth Alive Trust News
• Employment Opportunity! We're happy to confirm we have been granted funding to recruit a full time Programme Manager to support ongoing Post EQ needs in the New Brighton Community. The successful candidate will have good experience in the youthwork sector and also the ability to manage staff and volunteers. They will take responsibility for most of the practical programmes ran by Youth Alive Trust and be able to lead clubs and holiday programmes themselves. They will have good organisational skills, administration skills and beliefs that align with the trust deed. • YAT Information Presentation: Sunday 12th February 12:30pm - 12:45pm (new date) 15 minute information presentation in Beach Campus Passion Kids room for anyone interested in becoming a volunteer at one of the many weekly clubs. Maybe you have a heart for serving those Cheeky Monkeys, or those about to enter High School or those teenagers who need that adult to talk too? No commitment, just information. • Mentors Needed: Thought about being a 1 on 1 mentor this year to a local young person? Mentors needed!! Another chance to take part in Training in the next few Weeks...Grace Vineyard and Youth Alive Trust are partnering with Big Brother Big Sister to provide mentors for young people in Central New Brighton Primary School. With a commitment of only one hour per week, in school time, maybe you can be the role model a local young person needs?
