Weston Carryer Healing Meetings
• Weston Carryer is a gifted healing evangelist and he's coming back to Grace next week
• Weston will run healing meetings at our City Campus on Friday March 19 at 7.30pm and our Beach Campus on Tuesday March 23 at 7.30pm
• If you, or someone you know, needs prayer for healing, this is the perfect time to come along.

Women's Ministry - Extend
• This is a place to help you find your fit, help you into a Lifegroup, be part of the Grace community and meet a wider group of women.
• Meets at City Campus on Wednesdays 9.30-11am during term time
• Friends are welcome and crèche is available
• Join us next week as our Beach Campus pastor, Jen Harvey, shares on her journey and God's faithfulness and redeeming grace.

'Think'
• Fortnightly Bible teaching followed by discussion and supper
• Come join us as we explore how the story of what Jesus has done, as told through the Scriptures, leads to engagement with all of life.

'Worship With Prayer'
• Our prayer meetings run on Fridays and Sundays at our City Campus
• Fridays: 7-9pm
• Sundays: 6-7pm
• All are welcome! Join us in the Passion Kids room.

Mother's Heart Prayer Meeting
• New prayer group starting for all mothers, stepmums, aunties, grannies, foster mums, nanas, and guardians!
• We want to come together and pray for our children/whanau
• Thursday evenings 7.30-8.45pm (while the teenagers are at TNC)

Volunteer Opportunity
• We are looking for someone special to bless our Women's Lifegroup by looking after a small group of preschoolers while the Mums do Lifegroup
• Thursdays at City Campus, approximately 9.45-11.30am.

Compassion Trust Co-Ordinator Wanted
• This is a paid position for 1 day per week (Monday)
• We're looking for a person with a heart for the local community to join the Compassion trust team
• The role involves co-ordination of the school lunch deliveries (by Grace volunteers), funding applications and generally helping develop the Trust's impact in the local community.
Applicants need to be well organised and strong in administration, but most importantly, passionate about engaging with people in our local community.

Compassion Trust
• We are looking more people to bake biscuits - did you know we need 500 biscuits every week? If you can help in this area, it doesn't mean that you have to bake every week. Please call us at reception on 379 8463 for more information.
• If you don't have time to bake, but would like to donate ingredients, we're always in need of butter and chocolate chips.

Parents Inc. Toolbox Facilitators & Hosts
• Do you want an opportunity to build new relationships and to connect to people in the community? Are you passionate about family?
• Toolbox run 6 week courses for parents of early, primary and teenage family. As these courses centre on family relationships, the conversations have potential to go deep.
• We have a training day coming up on Friday March 26, 9am-3.30pm.
• We are also looking for people to host these courses in their homes.

Children's Ministry Internship (part or full time)

• Would you like to be able to "have a go" in this awesome ministry in our church, but the pressures of full time work or a feeling of being ill-equipped, is holding you back? Then you need to get into the Ministry Internship programmes at Vineyard College, where you can get both the time and the training you need.
• You might already be involved in Passion Kids and want to learn more about how things are done and develop ministry skills. Whatever your situation, an internship programme might be right for you.
• Vineyard College offers you the opportunity to spend a year or two learning and working in our church under the care of a mentor who is currently effective in the this vital ministry area.

Passion Kids

• Calling all red PK t-shirts! If you've finished helping in Passion Kids or have a spare PK t-shirt at home, please return it ASAP. Thanks!
• Creche Helpers Needed: This involves helping supervise children 8 months - 2 years on a roster once per month. Suitable for people who are not able to commit to helping several weeks in a row, but are good with young children.
• Please email Faith if you're interested in Passion Kids ministry. 

Translate: Living in the Story of Scripture
• As followers of Jesus we need to be shaped by the full narrative of Scripture
• Join Dr Mark Strom and our own Roshan Allpress as they walk through the 'big story' of Scripture, opening up the afternoon for discussion as to what it looks like to live this out in the twenty-first century.
• Saturday March 20 from 9am-4.30pm at Laidlaw College

Upcoming Events & Items at Other Venues

 

  • Christchuch Prayer Meeting: Wednesday March 17 at St Alban's Baptist, 7.30pm.  Join us with other Christians from around the city to pray.
  • Tearfund Compassion Day 2010 Activities: Inspirational programming on Thursday March 25 on Radio Rhema. Concert featuring top Christian band 'Shooting Stars' at Parklands Baptist on Saturday March 27 - free admission, with an offering to be taken up for Tearfund.  Visit their website for detailed information on these events.
  • CBA (Christian Broadcasting Association) produces radio programmes designed to communicate the Christian faith to people outside the influence of the church. They are broadcasting for 18 hours on NewstalkZB over Good Friday.  Their Easter programming will be heard by more than 300,000 listeners nationwide on NewstalkZB and the Radio Sport network.
